Misti Chill Hostel is ideally located, facing the beach and 200 metres from the historic center of Paraty. Our beachfront hostel offers its guests a little oasis - a tranquil and laid-back environment in which you can enjoy some drinks, meet cool people, read a book, play a bit of guitar or do whatever tickles your fancy. It was created with you in mind- attempting to fulfill backpackers and all guests needs alike.

Misti Chill Hostel and Pousada is located in a paradisiacal spot. Right in front of the Pontal beach and very near to Paraty downtown.
The small coastal village of Paraty is a virtual museum within a tropical paradise. Paraty has become a popular tourist area in recent years, renowned for the beauty of the town and the magnificence of the coast and mountains in the region. The Portuguese colonial and Brazilian Imperial architecture has been perfectly preserved and the many buildings have been converted into eclectic and artsy shops and restaurants. Automobile traffic is forbidden inside the city in order to preserve the tranquil ambience.
The quaint historic village is surrounded by beaches and national parks offering tourists a panoply of activities to enjoy. Paraty has become a major international destination for Brazilian as well as international tourists seeking sunshine and spectacular beaches (including snorkeling and scuba). | | Directions | Upon your arrival in Paraty, you can walk to Misti Chill from the bus station (10 min walk).Check out the map below or ask someone at the bus station, theyll point you in the right direction!
We also offer FREE Pick-Up from the Bus Station, (if you have pre-booked or even if you decide last minute) just give us a call.
Walking: Past the Historic Center towards the Sea, cross the Pedestrians Bridge over the Canal. Walk towards the beach and we are there! Right in front of the Beach. (some people still knows us as "Pousada Internacional" as this is the old name)
Driving: After the roundabout going into town, turn left after the arch, drive straight 300 meters, past the Bridge over the canal and turn right all the way to the end, drive around the Plaza until you get to the Beach, youll turn left by the beach and you will find us 100 meters after. The building in the corner (ex-Pousada Internacional). Ask for directions "Praia do Pontal".
On a Taxi: Taxis in Paraty charge a flat rate of R$15 for any ride regardless of the distance.

Currency Exchange Rate
We require payment on arrival. Please note that the actual total will be calculated by the hostel in its local currency, based on the currency exchange rate (if applicable) in effect at the time charging occurs.
Cancellation Policy
50% deposit is required to confirm and guarantee your reservation; the remainder is due on arrival at the hostel.
Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made 72 hours or less in advanced of your scheduled arrival time. It will remain under the hostels discretion to refund deposits for booking changes made within the 72 hours period prior to arrival.
Changes after arrival
For changes on bookings after arrival, the subsequent period of 72 hours will not be refunded.
No Shows
In the case of no shows, deposits will not be refunded and the full amount for the transfer will be charged to the customer. Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 72 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival time.
Misti Chill Packages
* We require 50% to be paid in advance. If you book through a booking engine (ie. 10% deposit) the difference to complete the 50% should be paid directly to the hostel.
* Cancellations for New Years Packages:
Cancellations can be made before November 30th with a 100% refund of the total amount. After that date the amount that has been already paid will not be refunded.
* Cancellations for Carnival Packages:
Cancellations can be made before December, 31st with a 100% refund of the total amount. After that date the amount that has been already paid will not be refunded.
Even if the booking engine allows you to book less nights at the normal rate, for the Carnival and New Year's Packages, your booking will not be valid if you do not book the whole package.
Bookings for New Year or Carnival must be for the whole period of the package, any booking that breaks into the New Year's or Carnival dates will be automatically canceled and the deposit amount not refunded. You will be immediately contacted about the payment from the whole package.
Free Transfer
Misti Chill Hostel offers you a free pick up upon your arrival in Paraty from the bus station to our hostel. This service is offered for free to our guests staying a minimum of 3 nights (or equivalent booking to R$100/US $60) and that have already confirmed the booking using one of our payment methods.
Please note that in case of delays, it is the passenger responsibility to inform Misti Chill Hostel about the new arrival time.
In case the passenger has not informed our staff about the delay, Misti Chill Hostel will not be responsible for the transfer charge. The passenger will be held responsible for the total amount of the transfer in.
If the passenger did not arrive at all, then the full cost of the transfer will be charged to the customer.
This free transfer service is offered between 9.00 am to 10.00 pm.
In case you require a transfer outside this schedule, we offer you the possibility of booking it with us at a rate of R$ 15.-
Over-bookings
For reservations guaranteed with a 50% deposit or more at time of booking, rooms are held until hostel check-out time the day following arrival.
In the event more guests arrive than can be accommodated due to hostel overbooking or an unforeseen circumstance, and the hostel is unable to hold rooms consistent with booking room hold policy, the hostel will attempt to accommodate guests, at its expense, at a comparable hostel in the area for the oversold night(s), and will pay for transportation to that hostel.
Improvements
In our strive to improve and upgrade our facilities to satisfy all our guest, Misti Chill Hostel sometimes undergoes refurbishment work in some parts of the hostel. We do our best to ensure guests will not be affected by the renovations but please beware of the latter possibility. |
